Less than one percent of Japan's 127 million citizens claim Christianity as their faith. Japan been called the Missionaries Graveyard but in a country that embraces so many other American concepts and fads why is Japan such a challenge for missionaries?
The difficulty lies within their collectivist culture which believes that harmony is paramount. Anything that may cause discord is fundamentally bad, especially within relationships. Christianity threatens the harmony between the potential believer and their family, friends and neighbors and rather than accept the Truth of Jesus Christ they choose harmony.
There are many ways to show Cherry your support. Prayer is by far the most important. You can also donate to help her cover her in country living and ministry expenses.
