Grow
And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. Acts 3:42
Those first Christians demonstrated the four basic principles necessary to promote spiritual growth. We seek to follow their examnple and have many opportunities for you and your family to grow in your faith towards God and to improve your Christian life. These come in three forms:
Weekly Services and Bible Studies
The most important part of growing spiritually is to learn God's Word (the Bible). The Bible is not a historical bok though it covers historical events. The Bible is 66 differnt books written by 40 different authors in 4 different languages over the course of 3000 years. It is unique. It contains hundreds of prophesies with over 300 focused on Jesus Christ 's coming, his life, his death and his resurrection.
The Sunday and Wednsesday services provide expository method of teaching (teaching through each book of the Bible chapter-by-chapter so that we see the Bible in context.
The group Bible Studies cover a variety of topics with interaction, time for prayer and fellowship. These are a great place to build strong relationships with other church members.
Check our Bulletin for the weekly schedule of Services and Bible Studies.
School of Discipleship
School of Discipleship provides a more personal and focused approach to your growth. It is a commitment to attend classes once a week for 9 months. The class is limited so participants have a better opportunity to be personally discipled. The 9 months is broken up in three themes: You and your relationhsip with the Lord; You and your relationship with the Church; You and your relatiohship with the world. The various studies are taught by pastors and leaders who come with a vast amount of knowledge and experience in following and serving the Lord. The school starts in October and runs until June. This is open to Christians outside of our church.
