Cherry Oquindo

Cherry was saved at Calvary Chapel Perris Valley and immediately began to serve and grow in God's word.  She served as an intern in several areas of ministry.  She is gifted in many ways but more importantly she has a genuine love for Jesus.

Cherry first came to Japan in June 2011, three months after the March 11 earthquake and tsunami disaster happened. Since then, she had been on several short term trips to Japan with the teams from CCPV. In 2015, Cherry was lead by God to start preparing to be a full time missionary in Japan and in March 2017 she moved to Ishinomaki, Japan.

Right now Cherry is assisting with the church plant through J’s Cafe and Calvary Chapel Ishinomaki. Cherry is co-leading a weekly English Women’s Bible study along side Emi as well as teaching English for the after school kid’s program at J’s Cafe and once a month at a Catholic school.

Brian mcdaniel & Family: Cross to LighT Ministries

Haiti Relief and Bible Training Center: Through the operation of the Haiti Bible Training Center that was established in November of 2010 and extended campus Cross to Light’s core function in Haiti is to bring in young leaders from different provinces of Haiti in order to build them up in the Word of God, taking them through the bible over the course of two years and send them back out to plant churches in order to provide bible teaching discipleship and community relief throughout the entire country. Each church plant is a community center where assistance to the poor, homeless, widows and orphans of Haiti are given relief aid.  At the church facilities, in addition to the bible teaching and discipleship Cross to Light digs deep water wells, provides medical supplies and assistance and distribute relief aid - all free of cost to the Haitian people.

Rich and Emi GiDDEns

Calvary Chapel Ishinomaki was born out of the relief effort after the 2011 Tsunami.  After serving with relief ministry Samaritan’s Purse, Rich Giddens and his wife Emi felt called to stay and continue ministry there and assist in planting a church. The ministry at J’s Cafe/CC Ishinomaki has been ministering to the people of Ishinomaki through different outreach events like concerts, on going English classes and other special events like art classes. The church also started a weekly English Women's Bible Study as another form of outreach to the women in Ishinomaki and an after school English program for primary school age kids.
